Hannity has been perpetuating the stereotype that gay people are out to "recruit" children with his bogus NAMBLA-related smears. This kind of thing makes it even harder for people who try to reform the education system in order to address the needs of gay (or gay-perceived) teenagers. It's a new low even for him.

Pig.
I've seen a clip of George Stephanopoulos taking Hannity to task over this, but I can't remember where.
The way that was written has me
Hannity is one of the most loathsome talking heads there is. The guilt-by-association-however-thin tactic is his most common MO, but whenever his bud Ann Coulter calls John Edwards a faggot, his response is: "Nobody is responsible for what Ann Coulter says except Ann Coulter."
And don't ask him about his friendship with outspoken racist (and possible FBI plant) Hal Turner.
Meanwhile, I saw (and enjoyed) The Tempermentals. I guess that makes me a card-carrying member of NAMBLA?

I stumbled upon a crazy ass right wing blog yesterday perpetuating the NAMBLA meme.
You know, while I know NAMBLA exists, I never heard about it until a right winger told me about it and indeed, I NEVER hear about it unless it's coming from the mouths of right wingers.
Kind of like how I didn't know I thought Obama was the messiah until I was told I did.
Do you think that they secretly want to do naughty things to tykes?

Stephanopoulus was on last night, but he didn't make a very good defense (and Hannity kept shouting him down.) There were also (right on cue) a pair of "expert" harridans doing the usual squawking about "indoctrination" and "recruitment" and "promoting homosexuality" in schools. (If explaining something is automatically promoting it, we should probably tell history teachers to stop explaining wars and assassinations and the Holocaust.)
There are anti-Jennings blogs and a facebook group out to expel him; this isn't going away. It just makes me so mad that it's this easy to slander gay people and paint us as predators who are "after the children".
And Reg, Hannity says you're a pedophile, so you've got a lot of catching up to do.
Things Sean Hannity -- and by his logic, any of his fans -- approve of:
*Fire-bombing an apartment containing "savage Negroes"
*Murder of illegal immigrants
*the neo-Nazi group the National Alliance
*Mandatory sterilization of minorities

Mister Matt, please! I've been too busy trying to destroy the meaning of Christmas to have time to mess around with kiddies.
Keep working on Christmas, Reg. I'm still trying to marry a goat.
Sean Hanity is a liar. This is not a simple opinion but a fact. Sean will slant the facts to his advantage and he plays this 'good catholic' role as if he is a saint. Truth is, Sean is just as bad as Beck and Limbaugh. Here is a classic example of Sean's lie telling. Not taken out of context or clever editing. It's one of many examples of Sean Hanity play reporting.(the 2:00 mark shows Sean at his lying best)

Kevin Jennings is one of the good guys. I don't think Obama will dump him the way he had to dump Van Jones. I think he will survive this attack.

Does Hannity do anything but make despicable smear attacks?
Yes; he supports white supremacists and advocates the murder of non-whites.

I just looked up the actual quote--Jennings specifically praised Hay's early work with the Mattachine Society in the 1950s and mentioned that Hay was occasionally a "serious political embarrassment, as when he advocated that NAMBLA be included in gay-pride parades". So Jennings admired someone who wasn't a saint, and who had ideas that he himself disagreed with (a foreign concept to Hannity.)
Another "fun fact"--Harry Hay's lover during the early part of his life was actor Will Geer, a.k.a, Grandpa Walton--yes, that crusty, lovable old symbol of down-home American family values was a queen. You think we'll see that on FOX News?

They're listening to Hannity's lies. 53 House Republicans sent a letter to President Obama today, asking him to fire Kevin Jennings because of his "pro-homosexual agenda".
If we let them get away with this, it's a reversal of the victory we won over Anita Bryant so many years ago. Republicans will claim, once again, that "normal" parents don't want gays around their children--because "gay" automatically means "child molester." Every gay person in the education system will be in jeopardy.

When are people going get that making aware that there are gay people in the world is NOT the same as promoting being gay. Even if he was, so what? If people are gay, let them be gay. There is no promoting.
"How would you like to live the glamorous life of a homo? Denied your right to marry who you love? Assaulted physically, verbally, & emotionally?"
Oh yeah, sounds like fun.
Virginia Foxx just needs to drop dead already. And no, I don't think that's too harsh. Updated On: 10/15/09 at 04:25 PM
