Posted: 6/14/04 at 9:03pmI was only referring to the MTV kiss. It achieved its purpose, which was to get people talking about Madonna. Having said that, I love her! She could've picked a better skank to swap spit with though.

I heard on the news this morning that Madonna's Boston arae shows are not selling weel at all. Tickets are still available and, according to the report, if you don't already have aticket, you may want to wait because they are dropping the prices in an attempt to fill the arena. Some ticket brokers are now offereing deals where you buy one full price ticket and get a second for half price.
Madonna has hit the bargin bin. Sort of like when that screeching banshee, Celine Dion, first opened her big Vegas show and they had to offer unbelievable deals to get people to show up and sit through one of her torturous concerts.

Posted: 6/17/04 at 8:44amActually, there are tickets available for all 4 shows. They are being advertised everywhere.

Posted: 6/17/04 at 10:34amHer tour currently holds four of the top five spots on Billboards list of top grossing shows...I think she'll be ok.
#17Thanks for the Warning
Posted: 6/17/04 at 10:44amThat's good to know. I was concerned that after this tour she would have to shopping at Biglots

Posted: 6/17/04 at 1:03pmThe reason there are some unsold tickets for her shows is that the scum brokers bought huge amounts and priced them unbelievably high in order to milk the fans dry. Most fans wouldn't pay the prices and on top of that Madonna's management released more tickets at the normal prices for the fans !!! So, the bastards are stuck with lots of tickets that nobody wants and they are selling them at half the price or lower so they will not all of their money. Many say, it was Madonna's plan from the beginning in order to protect the fans and crush the black market ! And once again she succeeded in her plan !!! The arenas are completely full, fans can get cheap tickets and the brokers are in deep s**t !!!! Take a bow !!! :)

I noticed that the ticket brokers are charging over 1,000.00 for prime seats. I thought scalping was illegal. I guess not if you have a license to do it.
I recently looked online for tickets to Cirque Du Soliel. I saw them listed at as high as over 200.00 and couldn't believe it. Last time they came to boston I paid about $50-$60 for tix. I went to their own website and they were ranging about $40-$60.
On top of these prices, the brokers charge a handling fee per ticket.

Posted: 6/17/04 at 5:00pmHey, Madonna DOES have her standards, you know.

Posted: 6/17/04 at 7:01pmIt is a great show. You will all love it. The greedy scalpers attempted to buy out the tickets. So management saved a good portion of seats to be sold closer to the actual concert dates.

Posted: 6/17/04 at 11:52pmSO, what you are seeing orion are the brokers selling tickets. And, in some states, it is absolutely legal, sadly.

So technically, the shows are sold out but the arena may not be full. I don't imagine they will be either with brokers trying to sell tix for over $1,400.00 (that's the listed price for prime seats on two broker websites). I imagine the people who have that kind of money to throw around are the kind of people who don't buy their tix from brokers.
I also can't imagine spending taht kind of money for any concert. There are so many things I could do with $1,400.00 and seeing Madonna, or any performer, is not high on that list.
