Mine is that the Empire State Building changes the color of its lights to celebrate holidays and events.
Love it!

Posted: 10/5/04 at 12:55pmI am in LA and I am grateful for SO much here, always having something to do on a moments notice, the weather always being so nice, the fact that only 20 min in either direction of my house is a beautiful beach or the beautiful mountians!

Hate to be boring and just say the same thing, but here in SoCal it's hard not to appreciate the weather - sun and warmth pretty much year-round. Oh, I'll say Disneyland, too, just to add SOMETHING different

I take for granted that I can talk to/see a very good friend of mine whenever I want to.... (he works 3 blocks away from me)
It wasn't until he went on a 3 week vacation and I only saw/talked to him twice that I realized just how much I take that for granted.
Luckily he's back now and I can harrass him whenever I want lol
Not exactly a geographical thing, but nonetheless...
As for legit geographical things.... Umm.. the fact that I have a backyard and a front porch. I never realized how much I'd miss it until the short time when I was living in an apartment building.

I'm grateful for the people in this country- as outspoken and rude as can be, but also extremely generous, warm and friendly. They are what makes this place what it is.
Oh, and the weather ain't too bad, either.
