NO! Once the disqualified "early votes" from callers in Michigan & Florida are counted, David Archuleta will have received more votes than any other Idol contestant in HISTORY!
He will be campaigning this week in Puerto Rico and Alaska. Puerto Ricans are upset that voting directions were not given out in Spanish- a huge hindrance to the many non-English speaking Hispanics.
Archuleta bas said that he WILL NOT quit this race and that it's not over till it's over. Here's hoping he will take this fight all the way to the Fox affiliates convention in August!

Clearly, Archuleta has been a victim of sexism and media bias. However, he must be careful how he proceeds so he does tear the fanbase apart.

Posted: 5/22/08 at 10:58amBrian after the way this has been handled, there is NO WAY I could vote fro David Cook in any sort of "International Idol" competition. If he were the American candidate, I'd vote for the BOLIVIAN Idol rather than Cook.

I predict that someone like Disney will groom Archuleta into a teen sensation. There are zillions of young girls (and perhaps guys) who will eat him up.

And what about all of the disenfranchised voters who don't happen to have a push-button phone or speed-dial? They never stood a chance. Who speaks for them? Sad. Very sad.

Well, I personally blame Howard Dean and Donna Brazile for the latest AI travesty. Little Porkchop was born to be an American Idol. Hell, he's been primed for the position by Daddy Dearest.
Perhaps America was simply put off by the prospect of American co-Idols (Papa Bear and Son). In the end things will all work out as the interloper Cook will most certainly crash and burn post-Idol. His is clearly an "empty suit".
Oops, I take back that last bit. I will throw all my support behind David Cook when his debut CD drops, holding my nose all the while.

He compared Cook to to Corey Clark.
I can't believe he would reference such a horrible scandal.
"We all remember Corey Clark was having sex with Paula in season 2 in California. I don't understand it," he said, dismissing calls to drop out."
