This year's Treehouse of Horror was brilliant -- the first piece, the blob parody, was gross, but had it's moments. The other two pieces, the parody of the Golem was pitch-perfect Jewish parody, and the third piece was a brilliant political satire.
Go Simpsons!
And next week - we get to see the trailer for the movie!!!
Yes! I'm not a big THOH fan, but I really liked this one. Can't wait to see the trailer next week.
When is the Sondheim episode set to air? That's what really exites me this year.

It was pretty good.

I usually enjoy The Simpsons (especially Treehouse of Horror) but I didn't find this episode too funny...

Play-Doh was a very important part of the second segment. And then of course the coda of "I'm starting to think Operation Enduring Occupation was a bad idea." The Simpsons writers rule!
Jessica is a beeatch.
i wondered how long the simpsons writers have been reading bww...
I thought last night's episode was terrible. I usually look forward to that particular episode, which has become the season premiere. Unfortunately, it was lame jokes, even the war jokes were played out. Why did they wait this long to spoof the Crypt Keeper? Last season was one of the best in recent years, I hope this isn’t a sign.
I don't hate The Simpsons, but I never really got into the show.

I'm a huge Simpson fan. Last night's show was just average.
The blob part was only funny when the homeless men were being shoved into Homer's mouth. Why didn't he eat Patty & Selma?
The Jewish part was interesting but it seemed to lack direction. I don't think the idea was fully fleshed out.
The Iraq material would have been better if it had come in a Homer/Lisa exchange where Lisa says something intelligent and Homer says something stupid but funny.
The stupid things that Homer says are usually quite funny, such as "The internet? Is that still around?"

I enjoyed Kang saying to Kodos "I thought you said we'd be greeted as liberators!"
It's hard to keept he quality up-- I still giggle at the one where Hang & Kodods turned themselves into Bill Clinton and Bob Dole on the eve of the election and when they were exposed as evil aliens said "Well what you gonna do? Vote for a THIRD PARTY Candidate and THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY?"
Then later, when they had enslaved the human race, you saw Homer with a button saying "Don't blame me! I voted for KODOS!"
Yea the only funny thing in the Jewish part was Fran Drescher. They've done all those other jokes in Krusty episodes.
