Forgive me if I have missed it, but I cannot believe that no one has posted a thread about this show. It centers around a theatre company in Canada (where it is filmed) and their lives in and out of the theatre. It is utterly hilarious for anyone who has ever worked in a theatre company, and has a lot of moments the ring eerily and poignantly close to home.
It is on (on my Charter cable system, at least) Sundays at 8pm.

For those of you who also love the show- can ANYONE tell me if it available on DVD anywhere? I would dearly love to see the the outtakes and such. (I have both seasons so far recorded on tape from Sundance, and am going to plonk them on DVD when season 2 is over- if I can figure out how to do it.)

Also, I would give my left testicle (if I had one, but you get the idea) to be able to audition for this show. Anyone know where to find announcements? Or if there is even a show website aside from the little info that is on Sundance and on showcase.ca (the originators of the show).

I love this show...I think I actually might have started a thread on it a while back. Hah...its pretty much what keeps all of Stratford employed in the off season.

*bump* Because this show kicks large amounts of arse, and you NEED TO SEE this show if you have EVER done theatre!

Season 2 ends on Sunday, March 26 @ 8 pm. I am a bit afraid that there is way too much going on to wind it up in one 45-minute episode. Maybe it is gearing up for season 3? Any thoughts? Anyone reading this thread? Or am I only blowing smoke out of orifices best left un-named?

Does anyone other than myself and Link Larkin Wanabe even know of this show?
I cannot believe that it is that obscure. Hellfire, I live in the Appalachias, and I know a lot of people who love this show (granted, they are mostly people I have introduced to the show.). But if I can find people who love S&L here, that you can find them anywhere.

I am very fond of this show. It has TONNES of insider references to Canadian theatre tho I admit very Toronto/Stratford-centric. I was a little disappointed w the 1st season ending- thought it was a bit soft but by then the writers knew they were coming back so prob had to tone it down so ther was someplace to go.
My understanding to is that it would be limited to the 3 series and NO sadly not avil on DVD yet- not sure if they want to wait and issue as a boxed set of 3 . I really can't believe they think there isn't a market for it.

And Rachel McAdams is adorable as ever, and it is cool to see her before she is famous.

If you search amazon.com for "Slings & Arrows", the last listing is this show. You can put in an email address to request notification about when the show on DVD. Apparently, Amazon will tell the production company how many are asking for it, and maybe that will help.

Yup, I am a hopeless S&L addict...
