Now, this may belong on the main board, but some of the people who post on BWW scare the living s*it out of me and so I'm hoping I'll be safer here :)
I want Spring Awakening tickets for my 21st birthday, since I'll be spending a semester in DC this spring (haha!) and DC is closer to NY then Chicago is. Before I buy tickets I was wondering if 1) anyone has seen the show in New York and 2) those who have seen the show could give me some insight as to where the "good seats" are. Thanks much!

Jessy, I guess no one likes you
They do have on-stage seats though, I wonder what our view would be like from there?

Hey-
I have seen the show several times and I really think the best seats are 1st through 4th row of the mezz. Center preferably. You get all of the full stage pictures. I saw it several times in the Orchestra and I felt like I missed a lot.
Hope that was helpful.

If this is your 1st time don't sit on stage. You shouldn't sit on stage because the band (orchestra) can drown out the actors at times. I sat row B on the aisle. They we're good seats, very close. I didn't feel like I was missing anything though either. If you sit anywhere close, like first 4 rows, the cast may tend to spit while they're singing, so watch out.
I think wherever you sit you'll have a great time!

I agree with NYChottie - I've seen the show several times and most recently in the mezz and I feel like I really could appreciate the lighting and generally appreciate and grasp the story very clearly and in a different way than any time before.
Also I agree that although being on-stage is thrilling, it is perhaps not the best choice for first-time seating if you want the full experiance and to be able to understand and appreciate all the aspects of the show.
The first few rows in the mezz would be ideal, IMO. The orchestra is excellent too though (obvi). I think the first section of the mezz is also the same price as the majority of the orchestra seats.
