Veterans are more than twice as likely to commit suicide than non-vets, at a rate 120/week in 2005.

Vets age 20-24 (in other words, the vets of the "War on Terror") have the highest rates with estimations between 2-4 times higher than civilians the same age.

And what is being done about it?

Not a whole hell of a lot.

My dad and I were just talking about this two weeks ago! It's very distressing.

I work with people who are on Medicare, and it's amazing how much VA benefits get chipped away, year by year. Their mental health is dwindling, so what do we do? Take away their health benefits!

Brilliant!

This situation has always existed - but it hasn't been ignored and denied to this level EVER.

This is the aspect that truly makes me wish these people suffer. The pain that's been caused worldwide is incalcuable. But to expect so much from those that are willing to be used for your ill-conceived games, and then throw them away when you're done using them, is the heighth of evilness.

I can only hope that they will get what's coming to them.

Honestly, even those who support this 'campaign' should have serious problems with this aspect of reality.
