ok. so i'm trying out for Starlight Theater in Rockford, IL for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and my audition is saturday.
1. Should i do "forget about the boy" or "jimmy". i have to sing 16 bars, and i'm not sure.
2. Where can i get free sheet music for either song
and
3. If i don't have tap shoes, do you think character shoes will do for the audition. it says to have tap shoes, but i'm not sure i can get them.

Unless they specifically ask for it, it's not a good idea to sing from the show. If you do, sing "Forget About the Boy."
Your local library might have the TMM song book.
Either buy tap shoes or buy taps to put on your character shoes. If it says to have tap shoes, that's what they want. Use just your character shoes as a last resort.

muchas gracias.
yeah. i'm supposed to sing from the show. and thats the one i was leaning towards
ugh. i'll have to get my mom to buy me shoes or taps then, because i'm negative in that department.

ahh. i'm kind of nervous. my audition is tomorrow. eek.
i found the music.
any suggestions for the actual audition? i've never done an audition outside of my school musical/show choir auditions before.

so the singing went really well
reading, i kind of did one of those "i'm stupid because i slurred the words so i started over" things.
and the tap dancing was interesting to say the least, i just smiled a lot and tried to make the right noises. i wish i could see the tape of it. that has to be funny to see. and i got stuck in the middle and that made me look even stupider.
all in all, it was a decent audition
