I have a university audition coming up and I've chosen a monologue from Williams' THE FUGITIVE KIND.

Now, do I perform it with the intended Southern accent, or do I not risk it? It sounds a bit silly without it, but I know it can be taboo to attempt one.

Any help would be so appreciated.

never do accents for auditions. if it needs it, I suggest finding another monologue. I can help, if you want.
