This just came out on DVD on Tuesday. Mary Stuart Masterson directed it, and it's received some decent reviews. Has anyone here checked it out yet?

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I went to see this a couple of weeks ago in an art house (strangely, the theatrical release was just a few weeks before the scheduled DVD release) and found it to be a very ?simple and sweet? movie in the best way. I was really moved by it.

I was unfamiliar with Kristen Stewart going into it (I have had no interest in Twilight) and was quite impressed with her performance.

Also enjoyed seeing a few theatre folks in featured roles including Elizabeth Ashley, Jesse Martin and Miriam Shor. Also, Duncan Sheik composed the score.

Anyway, it is a rather ?small? independent film, but I was really touched by it and am contemplating getting the DVD.
