I am embarking on this new thread because I thought it would be informative for posters to hear general comments that their fellow posters are expressing to me.
Some parameters first.
1. Nothing will be quoted without the express prior written permission of the writer who sent it to me.
2. The writer will not be identified. Any subsequent posts which attempt to identify the writer will be deleted from the thread.
3. My posts will be comments of a general interest, and will not be those that are complaints about specific posters.
4. Posters are welcome to comment on topic, however posts that stray from the topic, and/or are attempts to threadjack, will be deleted at my discretion.
5. My posts will occur sporadically, as I receive messages that I believe warrant distribution to the board.
6. The subject line will change with each new post, however the main thread title will remain "The Moderator's Mailbag."
There are many posters who have opinions about the board, but who do not feel comfortable articulating their opinions publicly. This is an opportunity for their opinions to be heard. Please treat those opinions with the same respect you that would expect for your own.

"thank you for posting those beautiful wintry pictures of NYC... as long as your granting wishes, what would it take to delete all those "appreciation", "hot", "where is" threads that clog up O/T board?"

I love egg nog. I think it's made from eggs, milk, and spices. It sometimes has alcohol in it. It is soooo good, but not very healthy! I'm not sure you can get it in England, but if you can't, you should be able to make it yourself.
ETA: I found a recipe!

In the South they used to sell Eggnog and something called Boiled Custard that was very similar. I think the Custard was less spicey. Not sure though.
