In my high school, we have lost a heaping portion of our talent to the evils of graduation. Those are a left sadly have little talent. There are numerous girls with okay acting skills, but not the best singers or dancers. We have one strong soprano, some pretty good mezzos, but mostly some females that can should probably have songs or lines in their chest voice. As for guys, we have 2 good baritone/tenors(possibly 3), 2 guys that have little vocal range high or low, and one that's tone deaf...so yeah. Any show that doesn't involve intense vocal skill? Our new director was thinking of doing Candide for her daughter soprano...oh, and the some of the past shows we have done were Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Man of La Mancha, Guys and Dolls, and the The Wizard of Oz, so preferably not those. If you somehow manage to find a good suggestion, I will be amazed and thrilled. : )

Fiddler on the Roof?
Tevye & Perchik- 2 strong males
Motel- third strong male or guy who can carry tune
Lazar Wolf- preferably can carry a tune
the other guys don't really have to sing, except in chorus
Hodel- strong soprano
Tzeitel, Chava, Golde- strong mezzos
Yente- girl who can carry tune
the ofeatured women in the dream sequence don't have to be particularly good
Also, if you listen to the OBCR, most of the performers used character voices, and it's apparent how much more important the acting was than the singing in that production. It's a really good show to show off acting and as long as the singing is passable and mostly in-tune, it doesn't have to be amazing (except for Hodel, Perchik, and preferably Tevye... though I've seen Harvey Fierstein who's not a great singer and was really effective in the role).
Whatever you do, DO NOT do Footloose. I've been in this show twice, I know it well enough to know that you should NOT do it. Lol.
the rights to Hairspray were released just days ago. Would that be possible??
Cristian, that definitely sounds like a good idea, but no...we are NOT culturally diverse. We have a black girl and an Asian boy, and everyone else is white...
As for Fiddler, my boyfriend was saying we should try that again...we did it before, but I think it was a while back...how does Into the Woods sound? I'd want to suggest that to her, but we might not have the manpower...do you know if some of the roles can be played by females?
By the way, thanks for putting in the time to respond, since apparently out of hundereds of viewers, only 2 could respond...
Spelling Bee
All the male singing roles in Spelling Bee are high tenors correct? So I don't think that would work. I do agree that doing a less dance intense show would be good. I can't seem to think of any right now, but if I do I will come back to the thread.
Going onto the MTI website and scrolling through shows might help too. If there is one you like, you can go to its page and under casting it shows character breakdowns, cast size, and dance requirements.
Oh and also, please don't take in account the number of views. A lot of people simply can't help, and I doubt there are more then 300 active members on the boards right now. Of course I am not sure though. Would you rather have a lot of responses saying, "I can't help, sorry"?

Maybe a show like Schoolhouse Rock Live that only has a few leads and there is A LOT of flexibility in casting.

Cinderella: Enchanted Edition, we did it this year and it will work with your casting issues.
If you have limited "talent", i definetly wouldn't recomenned 'Woods'.
Have you thought about 'Curtains'?

Spelling Bee. This show is very fun for the cast and audience. Listen to the soundtrack and watch youtube vids.
