Theater in Boston
#0Theater in Boston
Posted: 11/8/04 at 8:37pmI'm going to Boston on November 21st and staying for a few days and then driving back to Michigan for Thanksgiving with my daughter who is in law school there. Does anyone have any suggestions about any good theater in the city during that time. I did see that Big River is there and the tickets are half price. I almost bought tickets already but I thought I would ask for some input before I acted. Thanks in advance.

"Big River" would be worth seeing, but there are some local groups that do excellent work, too. Check out the Lyric Stage at www.lyricstage.com, The New Rep at www.newrep.org, The Huntington at www.huntingtontheatre.org, and the SpeakEasy Stage Company at www.SpeakEasyStage.com. There are also the Stoneham Theatre at www.stonehamtheatre.org, the A.R.T. in Cambridge at www.amrep.org, and the Merrimack Rep in Lowell at www.merrimackrep.org.
Reviews of past and current shows at some of these venues are posted here at BWW.com. They may be of assistance as you try to decide your schedule.
Enjoy your trip.
