I was in a show this past weekend where two dancers performed to the song, and it was gorgeous.
The song is bittersweet to me. It's reminiscent of a time where music was on top and was produced with such care and class. We'll never have that again, and part of me is sad I wasn't there to experience it for the first time.

That's so weird Addison, I was just having the same conversation with someone today at rehearsal. Ironically enough it was at a rehearsal for an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

My best friend and I are doing a cabaret again (hopefully this fall) and it's 99% music of that era.
We have a fan base for it too. People still want to hear it, and want to hear it live because they only get to experience it via recording nowadays.
