Transferring Into Marymount Manhattan

So I really like what I've read about Marymount's BA program and MT minor and I'm thinking about transferring there in the fall. The bad news is I missed the auditions by like a day since I started filing applications, but I figure If I start there in the fall academically I can audition for the Spring semester. Are there any successful transfers out there from the Marymount BA acting program and MT Minor? I was wondering if it's possible for me to achieve this crazy idea...it's either that or Millikin(Which I've already been accepted to) but Marymount is my first choice.

I am a spring transfer!! I got into the BA and BFA but decided to do the BA. So far, I am LOVING it! We can't perform till fall since most performances courses are full year but, I am taking Script Analysis (which is fantastic) we get to read plays every week and have our own production teams (where we get to redo the production how we see it) I am also taking Education and Community Theater and it's the best class. Our teacher rocks and the class (the people) are so smart and nice. In about 3 weeks, we start our community projects and I am working with my partner at the Ronald McDonald house with the kids and they are going to put on a small production. It's a very small environment and everyone is really cool. I am excited to get the chance to perform next year. If you have any questions on the audition, feel free to ask. It was probably the BEST audition experience I have had for a college.

I was accepted into BA (acting and Directing and MT) and BFA and I originally chose BA Acting and Directing Major/MT Minor and I just transferred this spring. But I was upgraded to BFA Acting. It's good so far! I hope things work out!

The most recent success story is Jenna Ushkowitz who is now in Spring Awakening. She graduated last year. There is also a current Junior who is in Next To Normal.

Thanks that really is good to know! I missed the auditions here in Atlanta so if I do still get accepted into the school I would have to wait until November to audition for the theatre program which I just hope I get into. It's def. my top choice so thanks for the help!

I just got accepted to the BA Theatre Performance today! I'm so excited and I'm definitely going to be attending in the fall!

Congrats! The girl that plays Sarah in this clip is a freshman at Marymount and she loves it.
