Strouse's and Adam's followup to BYE BYE BIRDIE was a collegiate musical called ALL AMERICAN.

On which college campus did most of the musical take place?

GOOD LUCK, Everybody! Trivial Pursuit #141

"I say YOU'RE the CUTEST one. No, I say YOU'RE the CUTEST One. And we go on like that from dawn to three."

THANK YOU, Jose'! re: Trivial Pursuit #141

CONGRATULATIONS on getting YET ANOTHER T.P. Correct!

YES, Southern Baptist Institute of Technology (SBIT for short) was where most of ALL AMERICAN took place.

(Incidentialy, ALL AMERICAN had a book by Mel Brooks.)

NICE JOB, Jose'! re: Trivial Pursuit #141

Now for your bonus points:

What is the only song remembered from the score of ALL AMERICAN?

(it was recorded by Frank Sinatra)

"I say YOU'RE the CUTEST one. No, I say YOU'RE the CUTEST One. And we go on like that from dawn to three."

EXCELLENT, CM2! re: Trivial Pursuit #141

YES, "Once Upon a Time" is the only song remembered from the score of the short-lived ALL AMERICAN.

Well, its good I have TWO prizes tonight!!!

Jose', you and CM2 are immigrant College professors--and are going to use your theories in Physics to turn the campus nerd into a hero on the football field! You'll also find love along the way, of course, with SBIT's Dean of Women re: Trivial Pursuit #141

THANKS for playing, folks!

It's ALMOST the Weekend!!! re: Trivial Pursuit #141

"Once Upon a Time":

Once upon a time
A girl with moonlight in her eyes
Put her hand in mine
And said she loved me so

But that was once upon a time
Very long ago

Once upon a hill
We sat beneath a willow tree
Counting all the stars and waiting for the dawn

But that was once upon a time
Now the tree is gone

How the breeze ruffled through her hair
How we always laughed as though tomorrow wasn't there

We were young and didn't have a care
Where did it go

Once upon a time
The world was sweeter than we knew
Everything was ours
How happy we were then

But somehow once upon a time
Never comes again

Once upon a time
Never comes again

Lyrics: Lee Adams

Don't forget that ALL AMERICAN was one of Mel Brooks' earlier Broadway efforts, along with NEW FACES of 1952 and SHINBONE ALLEY!
