Ok...I searched....
Has anyone been to the U arts summer music theatre program? Thoughts?
It doesn't require an audition so I'm a little skeptical...but it also seems to be on the cheap end, which is nice :).

I responded on the main thread about the UArts summer program
I am a current BFA musical theater major at UArts. I did not do the summer program, but I have all the teachers who teach at the summer program since they work at UArts during the year as well. I ADORE them, so I am sure that the summer program is top-notch. Plus, you're in Philadelphia's center city, which is great for seeing tons of national tours and resident theaters for super cheap. Les Miz, for example, will be at the Walnut Street Theater this summer! Also, the UArts summer program doesn't have TONS of kids, so it's great for making connections. It's no guarantee of course that you'll get into the BFA program, but it certainly doesn't hurt to get to know the heads of the department better. Hope this helps!
