Well, you should get Norton AntiVirus to keep these things from happening. It works wonders.

Spybot totally works too. Or FireWall.

I have had the same problem. My computer is completely messed up thanks to Spyware and Adware. I tried Pest Patrol and Spybot Search and Destroy. It made it a bit faster, but I still have very annoying things keeping my computer from working. Anyone have anymore programs they could suggest?

Wrong, papa. I know m=Mac owners who have had problems, too. I imagine that if you're willing to deal with the most annoying of all operating systems, a Linux computer wouldn't have too many problems.

Anyway, use Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, and a subscription anti-virus service like Norton and most of your problems should go. If they don't, there are more complex solutions, so just ask.

i saw in a movie once that this really cool looking teenager spun around and got smaller, and was able to go inside the computer and fight the virus. i dont know if you can still do that with todays computers. I was supposed to do a worksheet on the movie, but as i recall, i didn't do it.

"buy a mac!"

Oh, I second that :). Of course macs have problems too, but it doesn't even come close to all the viruses that PCs have to deal with.
