ehhhh, they're okay... i'm soooo sick of that Green Day song though, and probably sick of most of the other songs being performed, so i'm not really qualified to comment

im hoping that next year mtv will take this joke of an awards show back to nyc, to la, to outer mongolia anywhere but miami!
this freakin' "event" delayed me from getting home for almost an hour.
major detours were set up and 2 exits from i-95 going into downtown were blocked because of this crap.
you would swear it was the president or the pope who came to town.
i took so many detours i swore i was going to wind up in fort lauderdale.

So nothing interesting has happened? I don't have a TV yet.

I think the VMAs had a steady decline for years, that took a dramatic downturn after Nipplegate. I used to love the VMAs because anything could happen, like a drunken band member could swing around on top of the set randomly. Now they're prerecorded and time-delayed and sanitized into obilivion, it's like watching a top-40 version of the Grammys.

And why Miami? It seems really inconvient for everyone there, except like Jennifer Lopez. That's the only reason Shakira is probably performing, because Miami has a lot of Latinos and Shakira is Latino. It's MTV's attempt at appealing to their audience. *eyeroll*

They suck this year.
