Venting about my iTunes

I would like to preface this by saying that this problem is minuscule in the larger scale of things. I realize that far worse things could have happened to me. But I feel the need to vent. If you don't want to read it, then please don't.
After my computer's memory was cleared last month, my tech-genius brother somehow figured out how to get the songs that were on my iPod back onto my computer. I mean, they're not in playlists or organized at all, but I was so happy!
But every once in awhile, I noticed that a song was missing...
Turns out the entire playlist of "Musical Theatre Songs That I Am Possessive Over" has been erased! All of the best showtunes!!! I don't have "I Get a Kick out of You", "I Got Rhythm". "Ribbons Down My Back", "That Dirty Old Man", "Stars and the Moon"...
Of all the playlists to lose, why that one?

Posted: 1/16/05 at 4:49pmno no. It just reminded me about how every time one flushes the toilet it shoots feces out up to twenty feet so that no matter what you do your restroom is always covered in human feces. Even if you close the lid the force is so strong it shoots out from the sides. I remember reading that somewhere and now every time I hear the word feces I remember that little factoid. ugh... Posted: 1/16/05 at 5:49pmWe were just talking about how iTunes is great, but has some frustrating issues that will hopefully be fixed in the next version. I'm sorry to read about the lost playlist! How did your brother transfer the songs from your iPod to your computer? Perhaps this is an obvious question, however I was unable to do this.

Posted: 1/16/05 at 7:12pmOuch. One of the reasons I switched to iTunes in the first place is that MusicMatch corrupted a bunch of my files, forcing me to delete and reimport my entire music collection. *shudder*

My brother used a program called iLinkPod to sort of hack into my iPod.
I'm not really sure how he did it, or how legal it is.
It appears that the songs I don't have are still on my iPod, so maybe I can still retrieve them... I'll keep trying. I mean, worst case scenario, I do own many of the albums that things will be missing from, and can probably borrow some others. But it saddened me nonetheless.
