Take a mo and sign the petition. At the very least it will help the morale of the striking writers.
Thanks in advance.

Posted: 11/9/07 at 10:13pmfor starters all of the staff and crew on the shows that have been shut down and will shut down over the next week. Then there are all of the businesses around the studios such as restaurants, drycleaners, etc that have had drops in their business as much as 75% since the strike began a few days ago.

Why on EARTH should the writers not get paid when the corporations are making millions off DVD and iTunes sales and internet advertising? There could be a SAG strike next year for the same reason. The internet is the future of episodic television and this sets the course of the future for creative compensation. I hate that people's lives are interrupted and trust me, my television obsessions getting interrupted bugs the hell out of me, but this is for the greater good.
