There was a weekly radio show a while back in NYC where the host would begin each show by asking a celebrity guest a simple question: what eight (or so) items would you take with you to a remote location for an extended time? "It's a way of discovering fascinating sides of well-known persons and personalities, facets of their life and work and creative process which we might never otherwise see."
I'd like to pose a similar question to any BWW members who care to participate.
What 3 items would you want to take with you to a deserted island? For arguments's sake, let's say a 3-month stay, and assume that there will be ample food, water, and fire, but no electricity. And you can't bring another person along with you.

What, I couldn't bring my girlfriend? I might as well jump naked in the water and then cut my leg so the sharks would be attracted to me.
