I may possibly audition for an indi film, so I was wondering what all you do at a movie audition. MUCH thatnks for any info!

Usually it involves many sexual favors and a orgy with the creative team.

AWSOME! I've VERY flexable, so that should get me extra points! What do you think!?

Haha...I've never been to one, so this is just an educated guess (educated 'cause I'm majoring in Film production), but I would think they have you go over the script for a bit with other people (possibly). Then you do a read in front of a camera so they can see how you look on film.
Depending on the budget, they may just audition you without the camera until they are in late call-backs mode (if you get callbacks).
Just a guess, though, 'cause as I said I've never been to a professional one! Break a leg (does that apply for film?)!

THANK YOU! what exactly do you mean about the "depending on the budget....."?

Well, if it's an indie film they may not have the $$$ to rent the camera to film all the 1st auditions (not to mention the cost for film etc.). They may use a digital camera that one of them owns to record these first ones (which they probably will do), but if they are ultra-low budget they may not have the cash to 'waste' on first try auditions.
Realistically, they probably will have a camera of some kind pointed at you, but there is the chance they won't until they weed a few auditioners and do call-backs.
One tip for auditioning for film is practice some stuff in front of a camera, even if it's not on (tho filming yourself can't hurt!). If you do record yourself, look for your eye catching on the lens (focusing on it, even for a split second). Basic Forth wall exercises adding in the blinking lens would probably get you used to having it there in front of you.
Hope this helps!

Ummm...well, I dunno if they are going to give you something to do or if they will ask you to perform something you've prepared (I would think the first, but I dunno), so I guess make sure you have a piece as back-up.
Definitly do the eye-camera thing, 'cause I know that would immediately set me off of an actor.
If it is digital, usually they have a red light blink when it's recording. They may start recording you before you start acting (it's what I would do, to see the actor in semi-relaxed and then acting mode). Keep that in mind and keep an eye out for that.
Then just the general audition etiquette (sp?). Let us know how it goes! (and how they actually end up doing it, lol :) )
*snicker snort*
my indi film audtion consisted of me walking into the directors room and saying "hey can I be in the movie?".
He said yes.
I can't wait to talk about that on "Inside the actor's studio".
Take Knee Pads
well... usually when i'm auditioning for a movie, something strange happens (like the director grows another arm, or the room gets filled with water) and then i wake up, very confussed.
sorry i can't be much help lol.

I filled out a LOT of papers, then read two scenes with an actor who had already been cast in his role. It was in a restaurant, no cameras, just the director and a few other people. Very comfortable.
I auditined for a film, but it was a really odd film, I read from the script and it was just REALLY odd, I turned down the part from the movie, It was just against everything I belived in, lol
