Because even a broken clock is right twice a day, I have ALWAYS said that we the gays should give up the argument "we were born this way" for that very reason. The only answer here is not "be a conservative," as I've written it in these threads countless times, we should stop with the nature vs nurture argument and say, "Who CARES if it's a choice?"

I used to be friends with a rich gay guy with family money and a name most Americans would recognize because of the delicious treats we sometimes purchase and consume. He was a hardcore progressive philanthropist who broke a lot of "the rules," particularly "don't touch the capital," in his giving.

Anyhoo, because he had a somewhat perverse sense of humor he went to several of the initial meetings of the Log Cabinets and his response was that none of them actually HAD money, they just bought into that aspirational American myth and were aligning themselves with Republicans in the way that Oprah got her followers of The Secret to put up a bulletin board with things they wanted on it in order to attract that reality. They're just theoretical; wannabes.

The GOProud clowns are just two hysterical queens who had a snit fit with the Log Cabinets and are making their pathology public. I still have yet to see a crowd size attributed to their ritual circle featuring noted plagiarist Ann Coulter. But really, it's just a few sun-damaged San Diego condo owners in shorts, right?

How Christian is she? I feel like in the past few years she's aligned herself more with Christianity, but she doesn't strike me as having led a very Christian life. Or whatever my heathen idea of a Christian life is.
