Obviously nothing, but BWW feels the need to report on it. Why?

Posted: 2/26/09 at 11:49pmMaybe after all the books are put to film they'll add songs and do 'em all on Broadway. It is a money-making franchise, after all.

Posted: 2/27/09 at 7:54amThat's not the point. It has NOTHING to do with Broadway. It doesn't even have any Broadway performers or anyone who's ever BEEN on Broadway in it, like so many other tenuously related things that hit the "BWW News Desk".

A good number of posters here fit the Twilight demographic.
It's cross promotion.
In return there will be a HUGE production number in the next Twilight movie extolling the virtues of musicals.

But there is some crossover.....
Let's just hope this doesn't come to fruition....

I can see it now: All four Twilight episodes on Broadway at the same time at 4 different theatres. Or even worse :
"What would you like to do next weekend honey? Why don't we see a show on Broadway?"
"Which one would you like to see? Twilight 1, 2, 3 ... 28, 29, 30 ...?"
"I rather liked Twilight 24, dear. "

I loved the Twilight books. I couldn't put them down.
And I'm always amused by the posters who say how much they hated the books....yet read all four.

It's a question of work vs. pleasure, clever name.
If you can ride the crest of a wave, ride it. It may not be a perfect wave, but if you wait for a perfect wave it may never come. Riding the crest may help you anticipate other crests coming.

Haha, that's me. I read the first one and hated it, but everyone told me the second one was so much better, so I read it and hated it, too. (Everyone said, "If you hated Edward, you'll love Jacob!" Turns out, I hated them both.) I knew I'd hate the third one, so I skipped it. Then, the fourth book came out, and when I heard how ridiculous it was, I just read it for the lulz... but first I had to read the third one so it'd make sense. I'm glad I read the fourth one, though, because the plot was wrong in so many ways that it was hilarious.
But it's all about personal taste. I can see why a lot of people like it.

Posted: 2/27/09 at 3:31pmi am sure the management is taking into account how upset everyone is about the non-broadway related items on this website. the laughter is completely non-related to this issue. i think someone just told a particularly good joke. yeah, that's it. anyway, keep up the good fight you little quixotes.
