Very busy here in Chicago.
Later this month, I begin rehearsing an original script based upon the life and times of Christopher Marlowe. The production runs June & July.
In the Fall, I begin working on a one man production, which I hope to perform the following Spring.
In the Spring of 2006, my theatre company will be producing "The Skin of Our Teeth." Being the old man of the company (I'm 45), I'll probably have a good shot at Mr. Atrobus.
In the Summer of 2006, I direct a production of the two character/non-musical play, "Kiss of the Spider Woman."
During all of this there are those very interesting auditions for "A Winter's Tale;" "Grand Hotel" and "The Sweet Smell of Success."
How did my schedule get so full so quickly!?

How is the market for straight theatre as compared to musical theatre? Any insight you have would help. You can leave it here or PM me, thanks!

Very cool.
The upcoming season for me holds a few things: 2 shows this summer, a concert this month, a dance performance next month , and a performances at the dicapo opera the next month.
In the fall I have shows at the Dicapo and hopefully another contract with Rodgers and Hammersteins!

The theatres here haven't announced all of their seasons yet so I am waiting to see what to audition for. I do know that a local college is doing MARAT/SADE and even though I am out of college they open auditions to the public and I am dying to do this show in the worst way.
