Posted: 2/3/08 at 8:40pmDo you all remember when Aerosmith, NSync, Britney Spears, Mary J Blige and Nelly performed at the Superbowl back in 2001? That was such an awesome performance. I just watched it again today on YouTube. The Dallas Morning News named it one of the 3 worst Superbowl performances ever. I strongly disagree.

Addy, as hideous as this sounds, a good friend of mine joined Up With People and sang the "big solo" at the Super Bowl that year. On top of the big pyramid of "happy folks."
I didn't know whether to be proud or embarrassed. But at least he sounded good!
I vote for Manhattan Transfer, Steve & Eydie, and Keely Smith.
The rest of these punks today don't know music from an oil change.

Talk about The Holy Grail of vintage television specials, Up With People. Oh how I'd love to see that one again. It just doesn't exist anymore.
I'm pretty sure Up With People holds the record for halftime show appearances.
