I want to put more fun happy stuff on my iPod. I'm not looking for showtunes, but mainstream songs old or new and I'd love to discover some new stuff I've never heard. Songs that always cheer me up are:
Say You'll Be Mine - Steps
If You Wanna Be Happy - Jimmy Soul
Tell Him - Exciters
I Only Want to Be With You - Dusty Springfield
You Owe Me One - ABBA
Take Your Mama - Scissor Sisters
Footloose - Kenny Loggins
Give me some ideas!

Good Lord, CJR !! LOL
Not sure about the Rob Zombie, but I'll give it a go. "Date Rape"? I don't know it, but is that a happy song? HAHAHA.
This is will be difficult, but I'm up for the challenge. You did include several that I like, after all. Now when I think of Whitesnake, I think of Joey's sister.
PS - When I mean "happy songs", the songs themselves don't have to be necessarily "happ", but they put you in a good mood.
I also love I Hate Myself for Loving You by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

OMG I can't believe I forgot Song 2 by Blur! Thanks papa!
Orange, that's slightly alarming lol
What's more alarming is that the list I posted was only a fraction of the songs on my happy music playlist lol
