disturbing video

This awful punk taped himself hitting a dog in the face. A friend forwarded this to me thinking it was FUNNY. I don't know how to respond to my friend (as I can't think of anything more disturbing...please only watch this video if you're okay being disturbed for a few days). I think I'll be sending an e-mail off telling off my friend. I think that is the ethical thing to do. Am I right to do that?

I've sent a few emails on this, and finally found out that now the punk who did this is being charged.

I clicked on the video link and then closed it before it could load, I don't think I could stand watching someone hurt a dog like that. It is sickening!

Right? I thought it was gonna be some fake clip or something cartoony...but it turned out to be real.

Ummm...NOT ok. This is the most not funny thing possible. And I am the first one to laugh at inappropriate things (like people falling or public disgrace), but this is just past the line of humananity.

He has been convicted of a felony for this. Thank God. My issue now is how to deal with my friend who sent this clip to me thinking it was funny.

i started loading it and then closed it as well...i could never do that or even THINK of someone who would want to do that to an animal

I'm not going to open the video, because I know I'll only be disgusted if I do.
This is why animal abuse should be a felony everywhere. Good for San Angelo for doing so. It's still a misdemeanor in Colorado. Last year a scumball stole two puppies from a shelter and set fire to them behind a health club. One died and the other was rehabilitated and was adopted. The pig is serving time, but not nearly enough. If it were up to me I'd set him on fire. In cases like these, whether people OR animals are involved, the punishment should fit the crime. Jail is too good for these "people."

And I'd say you're perfectly justified in telling off the friend. I certainly would. Hey, I tell off people (mostly obnoxious relatives) who send me those "America is a moral sewer -- pray for us all" emails, too.

OMG!! Aww the poor dog. Wow I thought I could handle it but it was a lot worse than I thought. Oh wow that hurt for me being such a doglover. The innocent dog did nothing to them! People can be so stupid sometimes. I'm so glad they were in jail or whatever.

I watched the video and i think that is soo horrible. Oh my gosh how could u do that to a dog. POOR DOG!!! . Stupid people. Why would you ever hit a dog in the face with a skateboard. I think your friend needs some talking to.

The story mentions that a bunch of his classmates beat up one of the kids who did this, once the video made the rounds. That was at least the one comfort the story afforded.

Does anyone know what happened to the poor dog? I'm more concerned with his welfare than that of the devil-with-no-soul that hurt him. As far as I'm concerned, for the person that does something like this the retribution should be so swift and so mighty that the bastard would think that Satan himself had come to earth to punish him. But if that can't happen, I'm slightly comforted to know that his feloow inmates are probably treating him appropriately. People who abuse children and animals don't fare too well in prison.

I watched the very first part and couldn't handle it. I thought I could. I had no idea it would be so graphic. I would have to have a long conversation with any "friend" that sent that to me and thought it was funny. God, the poor dog.

Wht the heck is wrong with people???? There is no reason to hit innocent dogs...especially for entertainment! This just gets me SO ANGRY!! uhh..You are absolutly right, there is NOTHING funny about this video...it's just plain disturbing. I am soo glad that guy got arrested.
