President Bush asked for the blood of 1,000 more dead Americans, and the Democrats delivered those dead soliders to George Bush, whose seems to have a voracious appetite for death in a hopeless futile war that only 28% percent of Americans support
And this makes you gleeful?
Here. Dip your hands in some soldiers' blood, because it's on your hands too.
Not mine. I stand with Senator Russell Feingold, who said, "I cannot support a bill that contains nothing more than toothless benchmarks and that allows the President to continue what may be the greatest foreign policy blunder in our nation's history. There has been a lot of tough talk from members of Congress about wanting to end this war, but it looks like the desire for political comfort won out over real action....I'm not just taking aim at Democrats. This is George Bush's war."

oh i fully recognize where the blood is and why.
besides, it's always funny to watch democrats flee from a principled stand in the face of imagined possible adverse political consequences like the middletown coyotes chasing unsupervised toddlers.

Did Feingold vote yes for that last Iraq spending bill? The one Bush rejected? Hillary/Obama/Edwards did. It was basically the same thing.
** He checks out. He did NOT vote for that.

Statement of U.S. Senator Russ Feingold on the Hezbollah Attacks on Israel
July 14, 2006
"I stand firmly with the people of Israel and their government as they defend themselves against these outrageous attacks. The kidnapping of Israeli soldiers and missile attacks against Israeli citizens are unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. The first steps toward establishing peace must begin with the unconditional and immediate return of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers. Lebanon, Syria, Iran and countries throughout the region must also condemn the actions of Hezbollah, Hamas, and other groups committed to blocking the peace process and must take strong actions to return stability to the region immediately."

Feingold has argued that the Iraq War has harmed Israel by strengthening its enemies:
"There were some of those who support the state of Israel, which I do, who said, 'You know, this war in Iraq will be good for Israel.' Guess what? It wasn't....The idea of turning Iraq into just sort of chaos opened up the deal for Iran and Syria, who are actively interested in destroying Israel. They're having a field day,"
