wow!! i have NEVER been to such a ballet-intense audition!! holy lord!! and the jazz routine that we ended up doing was from a sophomore-year jazz class, eek!! it was so fast and crazy and ahhhh!
but seriously, the ballet was crazy. doing like 8 really faast turns in a row is not simple...even the experience ballerinas in the crowd were surprised we had to do that!! luckily, the guy was nice and understood that there were people who were really NOT dancers.
so be forewarned - if you're auditioning at the hartt school, brush up on your ballet!! and stretch, stretch, stretch!!

'bout to change the topic of the thread...be warned
did anyone audition for NYSSSA for Ballet on the 19th in Lincoln Center? How was it? I was supposed to audition, but my parents were dissapproving! tis sad!

Posted: 2/20/05 at 10:49pmI graduated from Hartt years ago (before it had a dance or theater program) and it was very, very competitive then and rated in the top 5 conservatories in the country. Not sure where it stands now but it was a great school cause I studied what I wanted to but was in a whole university setting. great 4 years for sure.
