#0i'm sorry, WHEN is the RENT movie now?!
Posted: 8/22/05 at 8:20pmI know people are sick of RENT threads, but, now i'm hearing the movie WON'T be in NYC and LA on the 11th, that now EVERYONE has to wait until the 23ed...i'm so confused! I wanted to see it on the 11th!

Posted: 8/22/05 at 8:20pmNationwide release. November twenty-third.
#2re: i'm sorry, WHEN is the RENT movie now?!
Posted: 8/22/05 at 8:21pmI think it's the 23rd. On most of the RENT site is just says Nov. 23. I'm happier, personally.
Wishes come true, not free.

I don't even know who says what anymore, but I promise the limited release is out.
*pat pat* It's only like a week difference. We're waited this long, we can stick it out.

LOL thanks Emcee, you're so sweet...I am NOT a patient person, so that week is gonna DRAG for me lol I mean, November already feels like it'll take for-EVER to get here, so that extra week is just killing me ::sigh:: At least i'll be in NYC though, so woohoo!

No sympathy here. I'm glad we're all waiting for the same day, so I don't have to put up with thousands of smug and/or tediously whiny threads of, "Just saw the Rent movie - where's the scarf???" or "What?!?!?!?!? Mimi DIES??????" before I get to see it. Now we can all deal with the madness at one time instead of a gradual crescendo building 12 days in advance!

Posted: 8/23/05 at 1:44amLet's just make up a bunch of rumours.. Like they've all got AIDS or something so ridiculous no one would believe it.

Posted: 8/23/05 at 3:49amI think this will be much better for the Box Office ! Limited release -among other things- killed Phantom ticketwise ! And it shows that the studio has faith in the film and doesn't view it as an "arthouse" project ! And I am sooo glad that we get films in Greece simultaneously with the U.S !!! I think Great Britain will have to wait till after Xmas for RENT! Though I still haven't heard anything about RENT's release over here, I hope the release trend won't be broken !

Exactly. This is a GOOD sign, not something to whine about.

"I think this will be much better for the Box Office ! Limited release -among other things- killed Phantom ticketwise"
The movie Phantom killed Phantom.
Chicago started in limited release, got raves. Went public, got raves, and an Oscar.
The Phantom film was just really bad. Whoever cast Gerard Butler as the Phantom should be stricken of their casting license. And no one "vogued" in the turn of century Paris, as that guy did in Masquerade...
