to all those screaming that the u.s. is a fascist regime...this is what one looks like.
the real reich
Well, it'll be fun, frankly, to see right-wing, radical Christians in this country get up in arms over it (thought they won't focus on the Zoroastrians AT ALL) and, once the issue is settled, they'll go back to attempting the same thing on me.
yeah, equivocate, bway. ours are just as bad if not worse than theirs, right? i don't see any fun whatsoever in this, but then, i've been accused before of having no sense of humor.
I see a direct connection to the movement to start legislating ME and MY RIGHTS IN THE MOTHERF**ING CONSTITUTION to be right in line with this.
They're not exactly lining us up and taking us to the gas chambers just yet, but it won't be long before they start requiring, not don't ask/don't tell, but tell us so we may put it in your file.
No one here (including me) screams that the U.S. is a fascist regime and no one here defends Ahmadinejad. Saying that some of the current administration's violations of the Constitution are pushing the country toward Stalinism and fascism has nothing to do with praising or defending Ahmadinejad, who is a dangerous lunatic.
This is another topic we agree on--there's no need to create a straw man Ahmadinejad-defender when non exists.
Yikes... this brings up my childhood fears of the Nostradamus prophecies. The third Antichrist is supposed to be from North Africa or the Middle East.
DD I was thinking that also. Its always been one of those things that I blew off as interesting, but not true, but still lingered in the back of my mind.
He is nuts and as much as I don't want us to get further immersed in war, something needs to be done about him. He is dangerous.
i wasn't talking about you, pj. but good to know we agree on this one. cripes, if we keep this up we'll have to pick out china patterns.
I'm not saying this particular issue is the same, but it's a discrimination issue the radical, fundamental wing of Christianity will pick up on here, fume outrageously, and then go right back to campaigning for their own first brick on the path to full discrimination against a segment of their own country.
I'm also not saying we should ignore it or that it is not bad.
Wow, the middle east is a frightening place. State mandated uniforms, badges, etc? That's really scary stuff.
Fanaticism at all costs must be stopped.
I'm interested in this Nostradamus/Anti-Christ stuff. Who were the first 2?
Napoleon and Hitler according to the theories surrounding Nostradamus.

That is weird because Miss Cleo told me he was going to come from Canada.
LOL I didn't look at the whole site, I just googled for the info and posted it.
he he he
You are funny, Kel.
As a kid I was seriously intrigued by his prophecies. You think, logically, that you put them out of your head, but then you read about things like this and they come back.
And yes, the two previous antichrists are supposed to be Napoleon and Hitler.
Iran report of Holocaust-style badges questioned
2006-05-19 12:01:29
The National Post is sending shockwaves across the country this morning with a report that Iran's Parliament has passed a law requiring mandatory Holocaust style badges to identify Jews and Christians.
But independent reporter Meir Javedanfar, an Israeli Middle East expert who was born and raised in Tehran, says the report is false.
"It's absolutely factually incorrect," he told The New 940 Montreal.
"Nowhere in the law is there any talk of Jews and Christians having to wear different colours. I've checked it with sources both inside Iran and outside."
"The Iranian people would never stand for it. The Iranian government wouldn't be stupid enough to do it."
Political commentator and 940 Montreal host Beryl Waysman says the report is true, that the law was passed two years ago.
"Jews should wear yellow strips, Christians red strips, because according to the Iranian mullahs, if a Mulsim shakes hands with a non-Muslim he becomes unclean."
The National Post cites Iranian expatriots living in Canada as its primary source on the story.

NOT GOOD....not good at all......
explains why i couldn't find much confirmation of the story. wouldn't surprise me a bit though to see ahmadinejad pop up long enough to say, "yeah, we're doing it, so?"
A large percentage of the people of Iran don't approve of the Islamist leadership. They're quite enlightened and secular.
I don't have the figures, but I would imagine the approval ratings are similar to Bush's, no more.
How did a radical religious faction take hold in Iran if the majority is more secular?
well, they may be secular and enlightened but they still elected by a 62% to 39.5% margin just last year our pal ahmadinejad. he of the famous "they have invented a myth that jews were massacred and place this above god" quote.
voters choose hard-line tehran mayor as president
damn. double post.
well, here's some porn...
fleshbot!
I have the feeling Israel will bomb his nuke facilities before he gets to the danger point. This guy is looney tunes
Israel will say it is for self preservation
Well at least my clothes will be picked out for me if I go to Iran, so i don't have to fret over packing. I'll just be sure to pack a few yellow stars with "jude" written on it...or whatever the equivalent is in Iran.
But I also question the validity of this article. National Post seems to be the only source, and all other papers I have seen this story in topday refer the National Post. National Post is a fairly blatantly right-wing paper here in Canada.

For what it's worth, Drudge has removed the reference from his site. And it seems this would be something he'd highlight for awhile.
