there's a rumor that they're going to start going after blondie on whitewater, cattle futures and even bubba's impeachment.
greg sargent plays it down and assumes there's no way they would actually do it, but he's one of the chosen bammy-ites.
my guess is that they are floating this in hopes that someone from their side will organize a 527 to raise the issues. if that hapens though, this is going to come right back to them.
those are issues that will sink bammy. if they get raised he's no longer the saint, he's just another politician playing dirty and that goes to the heart of his campaign. god, i hope he goes there.

nope. she'll turn off the negatives in a heartbeat and simply use his own ads against him. every ad they've done and every soundbite he's made calling her tactics that of the gop or rove? pop them together along with some headlines from the 90's or better yet some soundbites from rush and suddenly it's a whole new day.

How will Obama be any different than the Republicans in the past who have worn out the Whitewater, Troopergate, and other scandal routines? Let's hope Obama does not sink to that level.

Here's the first of the ads, Joe, for North Carolina.
The GOP 527s are using Obama's "negatives" to campaign against local Democratic candidates who have endorsed him.

Then this is an emailed video that went out to 7 million conservatives and will air in North Carolina.
It's not just one 527. It's a battery of them: the National Campaign Fund, the Legacy Committee, and a 501(c)"educational" group called the Policy Issues Institute. They're spearheaded by Floyd Brown, who created the Willie Horton ad in 1988. He says, "The campaign by Hillary Clinton has not been able to raise Obama's negatives. It is absolutely critical that Obama's negatives go up with Republicans."

It is going to get really nasty in the coming days. If Hillary does not win it, she will do a slash & burn on Bam Bam so he will lose in November. She than will have a clear field in 2012.
By the way, these 2 should return their salary as they are obviously not doing the jobs they were elected to do.

No one CARES about the 1990s Clinton-era "scandals". No one wants them parsed and raked over again, no one even wants them brought up again. It doesn't matter which of them are genuine and which manufactured--everyone is SICK of them. We're supposed to "change" and "move on" and "reach across the aisle", etc., etc. Trying to make fresh issues of Whitewater, etc., would only serve as an emotional release for the hard-line Republican base (whose members would never vote for Hillary anyway).
