Well, we just had the "last CD you bought/downloaded" thread, so it's time for the counterpart:
What's the last CD you got rid of because you just weren't going to listen to it anymore?
Note: Getting rid of a CD because you'd uploaded all of its contents to your iPod and didn't need the physical object anymore does not count. Nor does ditching a duplicate copy of something you already had. It has to be a CD you've outgrown, or your tastes have changed, or was an unwanted gift, or you never liked it to begin with.
My last discard: Squeeze, Some Fantastic Place. I like Squeeze plenty, and think that East Side Story is a masterpiece, but the last time I listened to this one it completely didn't register, so I said goodbye to it.

Posted: 8/24/06 at 2:47pmI also can't bring myself to get rid of CDs. I have CDs I haven't listened to in over 10 years that still sit amongst my collection.

JEKYLL AND HYDE. Has there ever wbeen a worse score written for Broadway? I don't think I was able to get through one full playing of the damned thing.
"This is the Moment"? I think not. This is the longest 2 1/2 hours I've ever spent in the theater!
BTW: I didn't buy the CD. Someone gave it to me as a gift. Some gift!

I never thrown out a CD. I have to thin out my collection, though. I have two CD towers (the second almost full) and I listen to probably 40% of them if that many.
I will probably sell them on Ebay, becasue they are all in very good shape.

Never throw out but occasionally misplace them
J/H is a great score. Sorry to disagree DP

It's rare for me to discard music but if i do, it's off to the local charity shop with it...
Good space saver for CDs, remove from plastic case and put CD and artwork into a plastic CD sleeve. An Ikea CD storage box can hold approx 100 discs like this...
Quick edit to answer question: 10cc Sheet Music...

A well-meaning family member who shall remain nameless gave me two of those hideous "highlights from the hit Broadway show" CDs: Miss Saigon and Wicked.
Let's just say Hastings can add two more CDs to its "YouCouldn'tPayMeToTakeIt" rack.
I have a similar story involving Michael Buble =)

Posted: 8/24/06 at 6:33pmI got a free CD which was recorded by 'under privaledged' kids in conjuction with a kids centre in Dublin. They weren't under-privaledged, they were just bad. They looked like they were up all night drinking and smoking, and they were only 12. I got rid of it, but not because they were 'knackers', they just couldn't sing.
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.
