opinions please

I will be starting in the theater program at Adelphi University soon. I got wait-listed for NYU, where I really wanted to go. I love Adelphi, but, I am considering a transfer to NYU sometime, possibly. NYU is right in the heart of Broadway and NY, and has a lot more opportunities, I assume, than a small school on Long Island. But, at NYU I'd be a very small fish in a very big pond, and I don't know if that's what's best.
What do you guys think about this? Would a transfer to a name recognized, big school be the better choice?
Just in general, I'd like your honest opinion, because I've gotten varying ones from other people.

Go where the best training is!
NYU's cap21 has been undergoing some HUGE changes, so check out what the program is going to be like post-changes. Don't go in to Adelphi knowing that you're going to transfer, give it a chance :)

thanks, yeah, i'm not setting my mind on it, because i do like adelphi alot, and it wouldn't be fair to just go there to bide the time.
what kinds of changes are they imlementing?
