Posted: 10/13/06 at 4:24pmwhat should i wear to an audition? i heard your suppossed to wear just solid colors so they listen to your singing more and dont pay attention to anything thats written or drawn on your shirt. but is that true? i'm trying out for high school musical, should i wear something like special for the different shows i try out for to like go with the theme of the show? what should i wear for my high school musical audition?

Posted: 10/13/06 at 5:09pmI would say look as much like a teenager as possible for High School Musical, if that is what you are going for. Don't wear anything too obnoxious or distracting because the "HEY LOOK AT ME" looks ridiculous.

a nice solid bright colored shirt that shows off your postive assests.... and possibly a skirt to look younger, unless you already look really young and then wear nice black pants or if you dont wanna be so formal...jazz pants.
thats how my school does it, and it works really well!

Dress professionally. It shows that you're serious about the audition. Don't dress like a teenager. Because that's expected of you. Surprise them with effort! Jeans and a tanktop aren't audition clothes. Make sure you don't wear flip flops or stilettos. You can't move in those.
Character shoes are best, but I realize not everyone has them. Shoes that are nice, a little heeled and neutral are best!
