One of the Rear Mezz tickets ( towards the back) is now on eBay - highest bid is now over $ 200.
You may have better luck at Telecharge for the last evening performance on 11 September.

Last I heard the orchestra and front mezzanine were to be "invitation only," presumably for the families and friends of the cast and crew. Rear mezzanine, as someone said, was sold out long ago.

kec, where'd you hear "invitation only" for 9/12? I haven't heard anything specific, just a lot of people guessing/speculating.
My guess is that they're holding the tickets until they've allotted them all, then they may release any if they are left (as is standard with house seats). Possibly at a higher price than the current premium price (that's my speculation!).
A thousand-odd seats (I don't know how many orchestra/front mezzanine seats there are) is a whole lot of "invitation-only" seats. And the last show is something that a lot of people like to attend, so I don't know that they'll want to tie all those seats up. Not when there's such incredible demand.

I know someone who has a ticket for 9/12 which she bought the second they announced 9/12 would be the final performance. It's not the greatest seat, but she's happy.
I have tickets for the evening 9/11 performance. That was the best I could do.
