A. They joked it should be called "24/7"
B. I don't think it's happening. What would do better is a remake, or even a film version of the movie. I was kicking around this cast:

Violet: Frances MacDormand
Judy: Anne Hathaway
Doralee: Kristen Chenoweth
Hart: Alec Baldwin

There was supposed to be a remake, that Will Smith was producing, starring Jada Pinkett-Smith. That was a few years ago, though.

There was a porno version that came out a year after the original, called "8 to 4". The tag line on the poster was "For those who like to get off early."

That was back in the days before home video - when porno movies were shown in actual movie theatres, and they had plots, sets, costumes, and original music.
