Would you like to see AIDA as a animated film.....I would I think it would be awesome and they should let the original Broadway Cast do the voices....that would be amazing.
WHat do you think?

No. No. No. It's better as is, live onstage.
Wasn't this one of the musicals Hugh Jackman wanted to do on film for Disney?

Yes, but Disney was opposed to the idea of blackface.
hhahha LOL that was funny Michael.
I think its time for a african princess they have done every other ethnicity.
Um...I love Disney, I love animation, I love Aida. But, what's the point? I'd rather see a made for TV live-action version, frankly.

no thank you.
Oh, Michael. You do make me laugh.
But seriously I do believe this is one of the shows Jackman wanted to do so it might be a live action film if it happens.

I'd rather have the people shown then doing voice overs as a animated film.
Well, I vote yes.
It IS time for an African princess. They've had darker characters (i.e. Pocahantas), but never a black character, and they need one. I think it would translate relatively well too (though, they probably want to change the ending...). AND, since clearly the animated world can't come up with anything orignal, it would be nice to have something that's not a sequel. Honestly, I think that they should start adapting musicals to Disney films, not the other way around. (Though, I do admit, I would see The Little Mermaid if I got the chance.)

I agreee they need to animate it but NO computer 3d!! I think it's also time for an African princess in the Disney Princess club anyways.

I think it's a great idea for them to have an African princess. I just really don't like the idea of it being Aida. Couldn't they do something original? Use a little Disney magic?
If Disney were going to turn this into a G rated animated film, they would have to change so much of it, it would lose everything that made it good, ESPECIALLY since they would have to give it a happy ending. You can't kill your lead characters in a kids cartoon.
i think it would work...i was suprised they didn't turn it into an animated movie before the stage...they would cut alot of the music i am sure since there movies don't usually run over 90 minutes.

I know Disney produced it on Broadway and little kids probably went to see it, but I think Aida is kind of mature to be an animated Disney movie. I don't know how well kids will react to the not-so-happy ending. But i definetly agree that they should come up with a new animated movie with a black princess

Definatly NO!
I think if done right, it could work, but I'd still be against it. Turning AIDA into a cartoon, like I've said before, would give the people who hated it exactly what they would want - to be proven right.
Discussed to death.
Yes this has been discussed before. Aida was originally written to be an animated film, but during the development they decided it would work better for the stage.
While I do agree that Disney should have an African princess in a movie for once, I don't think it should be Aida. As someone else said, it'd have to be changed so much to fit Disney and it could very well end up being sing-a-long-ified. It could work but I'd prefer that they just leave it as is for now and be original and make up a new storyline for a movie instead of all these sequels.
The stage show wasn't all that explicit; they could probably get away without changing much.
Moot point, because I totally don't support the idea.
Although should they make an animated film and use the OBC as the voices...I'd be quite interested to see what their take on an animated, cartoon Adam Pascal is. :-P Hmmmmmm...maybe I DO want them to make an animated Aida........
That is the scariest image...
