What is the best place to sit in the St. James for AMERICAN IDIOT? I'm trying to avoid the balcony since A) my vision sucks and B) a friend of mine said the sightlines were terrible.

I'm only finding cheap seats that are orchestra, but way off to the side. Is it hard to see from a seat such as Orch-Q-22?

I sat mid mezz, just off of the center section, seats and sight lines were just fine. Maybe you could do better in a mezz seat, get more centered. Sometimes better seats are released closer to the date too.

just be careful of being too far off to the side.. 2 times ive seen it from a far end and you miss whats going on on the sides, its not much, but if u want the full effect make sure ur center

If you end up in partial view/off to the side, the right orchestra/boxes are WAY less obstructed than the left orchestra due to the staging of the show.

Mezz Center is the best IMO--even off to the side seats are fine. I agree with the poster who said, wait and try for seats closer to your date. They sometimes release better seats the week of the performance you wish to attend.

I sat in Mezz Row G Seat 101. You can get a seat such as this one with a discount.

The seat and sightlines were perfect. The show, on the other hand, . . .

Center mezz was fantastic. Far left - you miss the Whatsername/Johnny interaction during "Boulevard," far right - you miss Tony Vincent's entrances for "St. Jimmy" and "Death of St. Jimmy."
