Ok, does anyone know where these songs from the Alan Menken songbook are from? Some of these, I have NEVER heard of, so I'm very curious, since I'm a huge Menken fan.

I Want To Be A Rockette is from Kicks: The Showgirl Musical

Daughter of God, I don't think that it is from any show, but the lyrics are by Howard Ashman

Take Care of My Heart is from The Little Princess

These three songs are on the CD The Alan Menken Album, recorded by my favorite Broadway actress, Debbie Shapiro Gravitte. If you don't already have it I recommend you buying it.

Need To Know is from Weird Romance which you can buy on CD. Ellen Greene, Jessica Molaskey, Valerie Pettiford, Danny Burstein etc...

I don't know much about the others except that Karen Ziemba sings "I Wanna Be A Rockette" on the Leading Ladies DVD, Ruthie Henshall sings Never Again on her album "Pilgrim", Nancy Lamott sings "Sailing On" on her CD Live At Tavern On The Green.

Isn't Daughter of God from Newsies? I may be wrong.

And I can only assume that This New Jerusalem is from King David, but I don't know.

"This New Jerusalem" and "Never Again" are both from King David.
