Nope, I'm not kidding. For those of you who missed it, here she is, singing a medley of "No Place Like London/Barber and His Wife/Epiphany." I have to say, she's doing a pretty fantastic job. (I also like Aaron Tveit's rendition of "Back to Before" from Ragtime...)

Why have I never heard or seen the video with Aaron Tveit and Norbert??

Posted: 10/14/09 at 5:27amSince I originally heard this months ago I've been trying to think of ways to stage a gender-reversed Sweeney Todd. It's just hypothetical and really wouldn't work, but I just really love the insane places Ripley takes the song here. I also like a female's take on songs like "Johanna" (Bernadette Peters sings a wonderful rendition of this). Again I doubt it would work, especially with so many references to "a barber and his wife", but I keep thinking it would be interesting.
