Soon Broadway cares is going to start for December.. and last year, I noticed a lot of people walking out without giving any kind of donation. Would something ever work where everyone in a broadway show.. lead, chorus, understudy, swing, standby whatever.. crew anyone at the end of their bio put "in memory of" and name someone who passed away of aids or any illness in the theater community? Maybe if people see how many have passed, they will be more giving and more money can be raised to fight this disease.

Not many people actually read that much of the Playbill.
Well you can't guilt people into donating. And some just can't afford it.
Plus, that would require everyone to personally know someone that died of AIDS.
I don't think it would work...and personally...I think it's a little tasteless.

Tacky, too.
BC/EFA is a great cause, but the audience is under no obligation to contribute.
