Today, I was helping a friend move out of her house, and we went to the storage unit, and I noticed that the building had a huge Angela Lansbury in Gypsy poster. I bargained with the owner of the storage building to sell it to me, but he wasn't budging. Not because he wanted the poster, but because it was covering a hole in the wall. So, is this poster rare, or can I find it anywhere else? It seems to be from the original 1974-ish run and not a reproduction, but there aren't any on eBay right now.
Here's the picture I took of the poster:

Well considering that Triton Gallery sells a reproduction poster of almost every major previous production if they don't have anymore original prints (this is how I got my Anything Goes poster) and they don't offer one for Lansbury's Gypsy, I'd say it's quite RARE.
They've sold one for $350! and still aren't offering repros on their site. They also have a $25 9"x14" but that's far from standard window card size.
I know they don't reflect their entire inventory so perhaps if you call/email them they'll do one for you which are $75.00

It looks to be the standard window card size of 14 x 22".(Judging by the frame and screw size pictured). I have one of that size that that I bought over 30 years ago that actually lists the "Winter Garden Theatre, 10 weeks only! Sept 23 thru Nov 5". I wonder what that is worth?
Why don't you buy the guy a cheap poster to cover the hole in the wall if you want it so badly?

I'm not looking to sell it. If I manage to eventually talk the guy into selling it, I am totally hanging it on my wall!
I don't think it was standard window card size. It looks smaller in this picture because it was hanging pretty high up on the wall, so it's taken from my height, looking up.
As for buying the man a new poster, he just refuses to take it off the wall because he's afraid that the wall will deteriorate faster, since the poster has been covering it for 20+ years. Don't ask me the logic behind this, but this was his story and he was sticking to it. Considering the location of where this poster was, I don't think the man wants it for re-selling or emotional purposes, and actually hesitated when I offered 50 bucks for it. I'm going to try to go back and hope he's not there and see if someone else is less stubborn.

Jordan, I wouldn't do that to my worst enemy.
Unless it's the Justin Bieber/Miley Cyrus in Grease movie poster.
