Planning my early-April trip. Partner & I did 5 shows in 3 days last May, and repeating this year. Airline tix booked (arr. Friday mid afternoon, leaving mid-day Monday.) So far, I've bought Spider-Man for Friday night.

Not under ANY illusions about Spdey being anything but an insane, had-to-be-there spectacle that'll be discussed/trashed by theater nerds for years to come. Next up is filling the rest of the show slots; am thinking:

"Catch Me if You Can," "Priscilla...," "Book of Mormon" and "H2$." Any suggestions for one to eliminate (Spidey's a done deal, so not that one) and ideas for a replacement? All four have discount tix available, so in the wake of the $150 Spider Man seats, I'd like to keep any replacement show to other shows with discounted advance tix.

Last time out was "American Idiot," "BBAJ," "Everyday Rapture," "La Cage..." and "Promises, Promises." Was a great mix...

Those 5 are great! I would see Sister Act as well, But I'm not sure which show I would substitute it for...maybe H2$?

Sounds like a fabulous pick of shows to me. I wouldn't substitute H2$, but then again I adore that show. And Daniel Radcliffe. Have a fantastic trip!

If you want a non-musical option though, I'd consider Peter and the Starcatcher at the Public. I saw it the other night and ADORED it to death. Absolutely fantastic. But it seems you prefer musicals, and I think you've picked the best! If you substitute Sister Act for anything though, I'd say 'Catch Me if You Can....'

CMIYC was mediocre in the out of town try out. If anything, I would suggest replacing it with Sister Act.

But catch me DOES have quite a stellar cast, that make the show worth seeing....

Double check this to be sure. But actually you could do all 5. According to Playbill, Book of Mormom has 2 shows on Sunday. So...Friday 1 show, Saturday and Sunday 2 shows.

I am making pretty much the same decision...I would put Sister Act on the possible list, and maybe wait until a few more start previews in the next week or so and make a decision then.

I have 2 mini trips planned this year....I leave tommorow for my first theatre weekend, and Im going to see Driving Miss Daisy, Spiderman and Book of Mormon.

In April I am going to see Sister Act, CMIYC, and How to Succeed.....I would have seen Priscilla, but Ive already seem it 3 times in Toronto...

Im contemplating one more show in April...maybe Anything Goes or Wonderland....

Don't know why, but I just can't get myself interested in "Sister Act."

May take Bwf7k's advice and wait another week or so and gauge reactions.

If you can check out SISTER ACT and/or PRISCILLA

I caught them both in London and theyre just alot of fun - Patina Miller in a starmaking turn...and I dug the music

Priscilla is over-the-top theatrical gay heaven

I'll be doing my 6 show stint in mid-April and will report back

We have "Spider Man" for Fri night, "How to Succeed..." for Sat night, and "Priscilla" on Sun afternoon, and "Book of Mormon" for Sunday night.

Still need a pick for Saturday afternoon -- CMIYC was the first choice, but there isn't much available ticket-wise. Just can't get excited about "Sister Act" or "Memphis." (Someone suggested "Wonderland" but can't subject myself to another Wildhorn show.)

("Memphis" has some great discount seats available, but I've just heard more bad than good. Might keep it in the back pocket... thoughts?)

Well, if Spiderman delays its opening again you can ask for a refund. If you really want to see it, you can repurchase with a discount code, if you time it right you may get the same seats you returned.
