Does anyone know which version of the score (recording reference-wise) to BLOOD BROTHERS is released for production by the Samuel French Library?
If I can remember correctly it is the Broadway performance score...hope that helps..

I was musical director for the show a few years ago, and I used the original British recording as a reference. I didn't notice any major differences between the score and the recording. I've never heard the Broadway version.

I would recommend the Internatinal Recording. From what I remember, it is very close, if not perfect, to the score provided by Sam French. It also includes the Narrators speech which it helpful in timing it with the music. If you don't need the Narrators parts, I'd go for the British rec, although I've never heard the American.

I played keyboards for the show a while back. I'd go for the British cast recording. That's what we used for reference. That should match the score. The Broadway version was done later and things were changed.

All versions of this show are great.
Buy them all like I did.

Anyone know a casting breakdown for the show (like the typical age range for the actors for each role- Mickey, Eddie, Linda, Mrs. Johnstone, Mrs. Lyons, Donna Marie, Sammy, Narrator, etc.)?
