let me put on my big suprise face. they cast had it in their contracts that an extension was likely.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Gee, I'm so shocked. Shocked I say. What did you mention: how convenient that the tour did restart until sometime in Jan? I KNOW. HOW fortuitous for them.

I am not surprised but it really isnt making that much money. Granted the show should have very low weekly running cost. Congrats to them.

Good for them! I had a feeling they would extend since they had generally favorable reviews!

After seeing the show in Los Angeles, i'm surprised (the kind without sarcasm)

Let me say, I do think that it is smart that they closed off selling the balcony of the St. James for this show. But, I can't say I enjoyed myself. It was too fluffy for me.

I have little interest, but rather assumed my teenage daughter would, but not so much. I have a friennd that went with HER teen daughter. They are the kind that kind of love everything -- they thought it was pretty lame.

I'm guessing that their plan/hope was all along to be able to extend into that time slot. But based on what the grosses have been, I was a tiny bit suprised. (As we were mostly suprised at the decent reviews.

Why did they decide to close the balcony section? just curious. It is definitely NOT a small dramatic intimate show, so I cant figure it out.

I'd assume so that they wouldn't have to sell those tickets. A smart move in my opinion since there hasn't been a show since The Producers that has managed to stay at the St. James all that long. Gypsy is the only exception, but even that could have stayed longer.

But wouldn't opening the balcony mean selling more tickets, even if it is 2 more seats, it's still a profit, I would think.

By closeing the balcony there's a better chance that it can sell out and create the illusion that it's a much hotter ticket than it actually is. That being said I really enjoyed the show in SF and wish them a successful run.

Has anyone heard anything about a recording? I have the three demo songs that they released but I would like a full recording.
