Come to NYC anyway, Mamie!
You will not be at a loss for great shows to see or fine museums to visit!
There will be plenty to see and do. Not to mention the restaurants. And Central Park.

I'm disappointed too, Mamie. I think my seats were right next to yours.
Well, maybe in the Spring, more people will be able to come who weren't able to come to this one.

I had even convinced my boss that I could spend the night coming home on the train and then appear bright-eyed and bushy tailed (don't say it) in the morning at work. I'll never be able to sell that lie a second time! I'm also going to have to go back to Amtrak and see if they'll issue another credit voucher. This makes the third time.
Unless hotels are going for free now, I won't be able to come to NY for a while. BELIEVE ME - it's breaking my heart!

Does the reason WHY they are postponing make sense to anyone else? Did I misread it?
So instead of re-scheduling shows/events that ARE NOT doing well to a later date in order to sell MORE tix...they are postponing a sold out event AND refunding all the ticket money?
Can someone explain THAT to me like I'm a 3 year old?

Posted: 10/13/09 at 6:55pmOh please! I have worked in charity work organizing benefits for years and I've never been contacted by another event to cease my benefit. How many performers pulled out to warrant the cancellation?

Me too!
The PR spin made no sense whatsoever to me.

The article doesn't say "sold out". It says "decently sold". I think Town Hall was just too big a venue for this.
I, too, was looking forward to this. It's been such a long time since the last one. PJ and Mamie, I think we were all seated near each other.

You were at the table right in front of us. It was such a fun night--and such a great show!
And so will the Spring show!
